We believe that college should be affordable for everyone. Luckily, there are school scholarships available to students who have financial need and the initiative to apply.
Ranken provides both merit- and need-based scholarship funding to students who qualify and apply in time. We’ll also help you find a variety of scholarships for technical schools that are provided by donors and organizations. Our goal is to help students pay for their tuition, books, tools and other expenses through our many scholarship options.
When To Apply
Scholarship applications are available for download beginning April 1 each year, and will be awarded for the following academic year. Different tech school scholarships each have their own set of criteria and deadline dates. Download our Scholarship Guide to get all of the details on scholarships offered at the college. Or if it’s between April 1st – June 1st, scroll down to the bottom of the page to get applications!

How To Apply
In order to be considered for any financial need-based scholarships for technical schools, you must first file your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You can complete your FAFSA online, or visit the Financial Aid Office at Ranken for assistance.
Make Sure You’re Eligible
We want to help you get as much funding as you can, but there are a few things that can disqualify you. Be aware and make sure you can get the scholarships you need!
- Incomplete scholarship applications will not be considered. Read the scholarship instructions carefully, and make sure you’ve submitted all of the application materials.
- During the selection process, priority of funding will be given to first-time college students seeking their first degree.
- If a student is currently in default status on a previous student loan, that student will not be eligible to receive Ranken’s tech school scholarships. If you’re not sure about your loan status, or need help figuring out how to get out of default, contact our Financial Aid Office.
- Late applications will not be considered. All applications must be received in the Financial Aid Office by the deadline date.
Not all applicants will be awarded a scholarship. But remember: you’re much more likely to receive one or more scholarships for technical schools if you submit your application early.
